Rugby Ralph Lauren

At London's two-year-old Tweed Run, fashionable bike enthusiasts don their best 1930s and 1940s ensembles for a ten-mile ride through the city. This year, Ralph Lauren's younger,  edgier brand Rugby has transplanted the ride to Manhattan. On October 15, riders in bow ties and hacking jackets did ride from the Village to Brooklyn. Celebrating the event the new windows at the NY University Place store show anything and everything tweed...

Rugby Ralph Lauren is an American clothing brand launched in 2004 under the management of parent company Polo Ralph Lauren. The brand specializes in Preppy/Rugby inspired lifestyle apparel for male and female clientele ages 16 through 25.

One of my biggest pleasure in the city is to go to BG to see their windows.
It's always a world of wonder.

DURO OLOWU Spring 2012 Presentation

I am not one to run to Fashion shows anymore ;the crowd, the waiting, the heat, all this is too much when I can watch most of the shows from the comfort of my apartment on the computer.
But I must say I was very excited to get an invitation for Duro Olowu's presentation at Milk Studios. I have been intrigued by his mix of fabrics and influences since the first picture I saw of his collections.

Nigerian born, based in London, Mister Olowu called his collection "Prim and proper in the Montego Bay style, practicality mixed with the need to look right."

Here some of my favorites pictures I took that evening.

“My job is not about dictating to women what they should wear, it's about presenting them with beautiful options.”
—Duro Olowu The Independent (London)

You can find some pieces from his fall collection at Barney's NY

MISSONI for TARGET

My intention yesterday night during Fashion Night Out was to report first hand from the Missoni for Target pop-up store

I am very excited about this new collaboration and was very impatient to discover it,but I was not prepared for the amount of people waiting on line to have a first look.

I am not a patient man, so no waiting for me.
I will have to go to my nearest Target on September 13th when the collection open to the general public.
In the main time you can do your pre selection going on their site.

PS : The pop-up store was supposed to be open until today 09-10-11,so I decided to give it an other try and here is what I saw

Sarah Jessica Parker, Halston and Me

As Fashion Night Out approaches, I remember how excited I was last year to glance at SJP coming out from Oscar de la Renta's shop, not knowing that six months later I would be lucky enough to work with her on the Halston Heritage collection for which she was the Artistic director.

As we know she left that position and Fall/Winter 2011 is the last collection under her supervision.
I was very impressed by her “hands on “ approach to designing and merchandising, her knowledge of fabric and construction. Talking with clients she knew exactly how to explain her take on Halston and his legacy.

Sarah Jessica Parker and me

Here two of my favorite pieces from the collection.

Enjoy Fashion Night Out !
