The OSCARS

My big question this morning was to write about the Fashion at the Oscars or not.
I must say that the red carpet was so boring that it’s not much to talk about.
The big trend  : white and nude colors…and we all know how difficult it is to wear this non color.
Hello Rooney Mara in Givenchy, with such a pale skin a little color will have been welcome.
Big exception Octavia Spencer who did look stunning and such grace, Gwyneth Paltrow in Tom Ford in a very modern, clean ensemble and Milla Jovovich in Elie Saab. The hight of glamour and movie stardom.

Now can we talk about Michelle Williams ? On everybody best dressed list…Don’t agree. I know she has her own style,I just don’t like it.I wish she was taking chances, something nobody do anymore. How do I miss Cher moments. Better to live in eternity on the worst dressed list then for 30 seconds on the best one.

I must said I really liked the gold of the Marchesa gown on Stacy Kelber and Meryl Streep in Lanvin. Now this is star power.

And what about Angelina Jolie leg action more suited to a starlet then an accomplished actrice.

And an other shout out to Viola Davis who was not afraid to show up sans wig and looked stunning in a green Vera Wang.

ERIN by Erin Fetherston Fall 2012 presentation

Like a lot of designer this days Erin Fetherston went for a presentation over a catwalk show. The better to look at her Fall 2012 collection

Inspired by a new age fairytale the collection is a reflection of her creative world.”It’s romantic and chic, but clean and modern.”

Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, designer Erin Fetherston graduated from UC Berkeley before attending Parson's School of Design in New York.
In January 2005, she first presented her eponymous label during the Paris Haute Couture Show. From its debut, the collection established Fetherston’s signature feminine, whimsical and romantic sensibility, earning the brand a devoted following of press and celebrities. In 2007, Fetherston moved to New York City where she has since shown her ready-to-wear collection during New York City Fashion Week.

NEON

If you have been following my blog from day one you may remember that my first post ever was about the art installation “Flaming Cactus” in NY East Village and how the neon colors were reflected on the runway for Spring/Summer fashion.
I was thinking accessories but here it is in the Bloomingdale’s window in New York, full neon Fashion.

Jason Wu For Target

I must admit that I am a little tired of all this “collaborations” from designer with big brands. What started with Karl Lagerfeld for H & M is now looking more and more as a public relation stunt from all this big companies.
I will do an exception here with Jason Wu for Target. The line look very fresh and interesting and with prices ranging from $19.99 to $59.99 for clothes and $19.99 to $49.99 for accessories as a very good value.

I must said that I also really love the visual for the campaign on top of the clothes

So,be ready on February 5th to fight horde of e-commerce clients to have first choice.
Let's hope this time Target server will not crash.
